Josh Witty
Born and raised in Strathmore, Alberta and Graduated High School in 2012 at the Strathmore High School.
At a young age I began working at the Strathmore Golf Club in the back shop and worked at the course all the way through junior high and high school moving up the ranks.
Once I finished high school I went for my CPGA Card at Inglewood golf club and got my card as a 18 year old. I finished the year at the golf course and In the fall I attended SAIT and attained my Primary Care Paramedic License. In the summer of 2015 I was approached by the Golf Course to come back as the assistant professional under Brian Bassen and continue with my CPGA Certification Process. After working at the Strathmore Golf Course for over 10 years in total I was accepted into the Calgary Fire Department application process. In Oct of 2018 I started with the Calgary Fire Department where I proudly still serve the City of Calgary and area.
I currently live in Strathmore with my wife Lisa Witty and our two kids Aubree (4), Ryker (1), and our Third is arriving in June! We enjoy doing many things as a family Hiking, Camping, Golfing, Traveling, and many sports.
I look forward to serving on the board and hope to bring my golf background and knowledge of the golf course after working in almost every department in the past. I want to ensure the golf course is a great place for everyone to enjoy and help grow for years to come.
